What are numbers? — সংখ্যা কী?

Numbers help us count things.
সংখ্যা দিয়ে আমরা জিনিস গুনতে পারি।

We use numbers every day.
আমরা প্রতিদিন সংখ্যা ব্যবহার করি।

Counting Numbers — গণনার সংখ্যা (1, 2, 3...)

Order Numbers — ক্রম সংখ্যা

Examples:
He is first in line. → সে লাইনে প্রথম।

Big Numbers — বড় সংখ্যা

Examples:
I have one hundred coins. → আমার একশো কয়েন আছে।
The city has one million people. → শহরে দশ লক্ষ লোক আছে।

Decimal Numbers — দশমিক সংখ্যা

We say the dot (.) as “point”.
ডট (.) কে “পয়েন্ট” বলা হয়।

Examples:
1.5 → one point five → এক পয়েন্ট পাঁচ
3.2 → three point two → তিন পয়েন্ট দুই

Fractions — ভগ্নাংশ

Examples:
Phone number: 123-4567 → one two three, four five six seven → এক দুই তিন, চার পাঁচ ছয় সাত
Time: 8:30 → eight thirty → আটটা তিরিশ মিনিট
Year: 2025 → twenty twenty-five → দুই হাজার পঁচিশ
