Noun Phrase কী? (What is a Noun Phrase?)

Noun Phrase হলো এমন একটি শব্দগুচ্ছ যা বাক্যে Noun হিসেবে কাজ করে।

Definition:
A noun phrase is a group of words that functions as a noun in a sentence.

Noun Phrase-এর মধ্যে একটি main noun থাকে এবং তার সাথে determiner, adjective বা modifier থাকতে পারে।

Noun Phrase-এর সহজ উদাহরণ

• a boy – একটি ছেলে
• the honest teacher – সৎ শিক্ষকটি
• my best friend – আমার সবচেয়ে ভালো বন্ধু
• those beautiful flowers – ঐ সুন্দর ফুলগুলো

Noun Phrase-এর গঠন (Structure of Noun Phrase)

সাধারণত Noun Phrase নিচের অংশগুলো নিয়ে গঠিত হয়:

• Determiner (a, an, the, this, my, his ইত্যাদি)
• Adjective (beautiful, honest, smart ইত্যাদি)
• Main Noun (boy, book, teacher ইত্যাদি)

Structure:
Determiner + Adjective + Noun

Sentence-এ Noun Phrase-এর ব্যবহার

Noun Phrase-এর প্রকারভেদ

1. Simple Noun Phrase

যেখানে শুধু Determiner + Noun থাকে।

• a book
• the dog

2. Expanded Noun Phrase

যেখানে Noun-এর আগে Adjective বা Modifier থাকে।

• a beautiful garden
• the tall building

3. Noun Phrase with Prepositional Phrase

যেখানে Noun-এর পরে Prepositional Phrase থাকে।

• the boy in the class
• the book on the table
